inviCRO is Hiring a Senior Software Engineer Near Needham, MA

Location: REMOTE

Overview:

The Senior Software Engineer contributes significantly to the development and maintenance of software applications, supporting internal and external users of Invicro’s software platforms as well as bringing expertise and leadership to the team. With a focus on enhancing business capabilities and optimizing user experiences, you will participate in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, including Product & Project Managers and Designers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions, considering system architecture and dependencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to facilitate their growth and development within the team.
  • Contribute to efforts to enhance the user experience, considering factors such as performance, security, and usability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, contributing to innovation within the team and pursuing opportunities for professional growth.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to deliver software increments iteratively and collaboratively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in the Regulatory Affairs and GxP regulated environment.
  • Direct experience and thorough understanding of regulatory documents, and interactions with the FDA and other regulators.
  • Management and large-scale project leadership experience.
  • Experience working closely with executive leadership team and providing sound regulatory guidance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of experience with Python, Java, Go, Groovy, JavaScript, MATLAB or similar, with experience in relevant frameworks and libraries.
  • 5 years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
  • Understanding of relational database technology (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres) and proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing requirements and priorities while maintaining focus on delivering value.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, ensuring code integrity and collaboration within the team.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes.
  • Expertise in serverless cloud implementations.
  • Understanding of API usage, versioning, and development.
  • AWS Certification – AWS Solutions Architect Professionals.
  • Experience in medical imaging (pathology, radiology, etc.) and processing highly desirable.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD processes.
  • Expertise in serverless cloud implementations.
  • Understanding of API usage, versioning, and development.
  • AWS Certification – AWS Solutions Architect Professionals.
  • Experience in medical imaging (pathology, radiology, etc.) and processing highly desirable.
